Michael Moore & Occupy Oakland 10/28/2011

Occupy Oakland has taken a massive turn for the better today as a major level of organization took place at Frank Ogawa Plaza earlier today. Over 1,000 people rallied to give complete support for the moment. Here are a few shots from the day including Michael Moore’s 45 minute speech which really got the crowd going.

Self Portrait, 2.0

I had some downtime today, so why not take advantage of some new gear (that I’m working on a write for as we speak) between projects? Nothing crazy here, just some testing.

Pyramid Lake

Pyramid Lake is a MASSIVE freshwater lake about 30 minutes north of Reno, NV. This lake is huge, boasting upwards of 4ft long Trout. The water is clear, and represents a true-to-life desert lake, high desert to be exact. I recommend this to anyone looking to get away for some great photography, or just to camp. The shots are...

Matt & Val Wedding, 9/4/2011

A preview from a wedding captured in Newark Delaware on September 4, 2011. The weather was perfect, okay, warm, but still beautiful for this time of year. A truly happy couple celebrating their big day in style.

Moonalice Benefit Concert

For those that are not aware, Moonalice performed last night at Slim’s in SF for the BayKids group. The shots on this page are of the entire group with their two set show. The music was great, audience loved them, and they put on a seriously serious show. I’d gladly see them perform again in the near future, and...

New Hampshire Ice Climbing

Not much beats ice climbing in New Hampshire around Christmas. This time though, it’s a highly skilled group of adventure hounds hitting the walls with plenty of gear, and lots of beautiful ice.

Light & Shadow, 2.0

These are a few random experiments with light painting, image shifting, and more. Some black & white processing to make the contrast really pop between the highlights and shadows.

Fourth of July, 2011

Happy 4th of July! I got a chance to head out to the Berkeley Marina and grab a few shots from an otherwise meh fireworks display. I was hoping for a lot more but it never came. I think Allentown PA has a better show! My favorite part of the 4th is smelling grills going, hearing people ooo and...

Night Train

These were from about 2 AM in the East Oakland train yards. Had a great show with some of the crew doing their thing. Some amazing lighting in and around this part of town which added to the effect.

Ice Water Splash

Ever since I got some new flash triggers, all I’ve been doing is experimenting with whatever thing I can freeze in time. Last night happened to be water, one of the greatest things that can be photographed in my opinion. The setup involved two strobes, my shower, water running from the shower head (which gives the back blurred dots,...

TV, Blurred, 3AM

This is a classic example of what happens when you stare at your TV for too long, especially at 3AM.
