Some viewers have asked me how this shot was made, as though it was from a moving car. It wasn’t, and instead, was captured standing still about ~8′ from the tracks. I’ve taken what you see below, and created a film noir effect as though you’re moving to beat the train. PS, for those not aware, I love trains…

You couldn’t have asked for a better weekend down in Cayucus California for a beautiful wedding. Kim & Steve had the day they wanted, with great friends, excellent food and memories to last a lifetime.
Michael Moore & Occupy Oakland 10/28/2011
Occupy Oakland has taken a massive turn for the better today as a major level of organization took place at Frank Ogawa Plaza earlier today. Over 1,000 people rallied to give complete support for the moment. Here are a few shots from the day including Michael Moore’s 45 minute speech which really got the crowd going.
Tour of California 2011, Team Cars
This is a bonus, since I had the opportunity to capture some shots of the team cars from the Tour. I tried to get every last car that came by, though I’m certain I missed one or two.
Tour of California 2011, Stage 4
Today’s stage came out of Livermore, CA heading south to San Jose, CA. Weather is good, mild clouds with only a sprinkle of rain here and there. These were shot around the 20 mile marker for the course as they head into the mountains. Next up will be a bonus round of vehicles and team cars from the race.
Tour of California 2011, Stage 3
Continued coverage of the Tour ends in Modesto today. The weather is horrible, with lots of wind, rain, and road spray. This brings me back to my own cycling days with impossible conditions, and the only thing you can think of is sitting in a comfy chair, feet up, drinking hot chocolate. Too bad these guys won’t be getting...
Tour of California 2011, Stage 2
The Tour of California 2011 has begun even with a cancelled first stage. The tour lasts until the 22nd of May, and all shots for the stages I can get I’ll post up here. Stage 2 shots are up, stage 3 will start tomorrow in Auburn, and ending in Modesto. The subsequent stages may or may not make it....
